Special Notes:

On your first burn ensure that the entire top melts before blowing out the six wicks. It is important to let it all melt so that you don’t encourage the wax to tunnel in future. Do not burn your dough bowl for more than 2-3 hours at a time (the first burn may take slightly longer than this).

It is best to allow your candle to burn just long enough to melt the entire wax surface and then blow it out. This will preserve the wax for as long as possible.

Trim your wicks before each burn to avoid curling towards the edge and possible burn marks on the wood.

Always keep your candle on a flat surface, out of reach of children, and on something that can withstand heat and potential wax drippings.

As with any candle please do not burn it past there being 1/2” of wax remaining in the vessel. Never burn your candle unattended.

Every dough bowl is individual and hand carved and they vary slightly in shape and wax capacity. We check them carefully for any leaks before pouring them but if you should have any problem at all it is easy to plug the hole with glue or wood filler.

Dough Bowl candles differ from regular jar candles in that they are more difficult to burn evenly with the larger surface and long shape.
